Who Invented The Modern Lamp? History Of  Modern Lamp - Biography of Thomas Alva Edison. Thomas Alva Edison is known for his invention that has changed the world. Modern light bulbs, born in Milan, Ohio, USA on February 11, 1847, are inventors and entrepreneurs who develop many important tools. The Menlo Park Wizard was one of the first inventors to apply the principle of mass production to the process of discovery. 

Biography

In his childhood in the United States, Edison always got bad grades in his school. Therefore her mother dismissed her from school and taught herself at home. At home Edison could freely read adult scholarly books and begin experimenting with his own scientific experiments. At the age of 12 he started working as a seller of newspapers, fruits and confectionery on the train. Then he became a telegraph operator. He moved from one city to another. In New York he was asked to be the head of an important telegraph machine. The machines sent business news to all the leading companies in New York.

Thomas Alva Edison invented a better telegraph machine in 1870. The machines could print messages on long paper strips. The money generated from his invention was enough to establish his own company. In 1874 he moved to Menlo Park, New Jersey. There he created a great scientific workshop and the first in the world. After that he made many important discoveries. In 1877 he discovered the Gramophone. In 1879 he managed to find an electric light then he also found a projector for small films. In 1882 he installed electric lights in the streets and houses as far as one kilometer in New York City. This is the first time in the world of electric lights in wear on the streets. In 1890, he founded the company General Electric.

At his time, Edison was seen as one of the most prolific creators, holding a record 1,093 patents on his behalf. He also helped a lot in the field of defense of the United States government. Some of his researches include: detecting aircraft, destroying the periscope with machine guns, detecting submarines, stopping torpedoes with nets, increasing torpedo power, camouflage ships, and much more. 

In recognition of his services, In 1928 he received an award in the form of a special medal from the United States Congress. 

Thomas Alva Edison died October 18, 1931 at the age of 84, on the birthday of his famous discovery, a modern light bulb.
