They managed to raise funds from donors, including: Ron Conway, Paul Buchheit, Ashton Kutcher, and others. As a base capital, the company raised $ 8.5 million in February 2011, coming from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Index Ventures and Digital Garage from Japan.
When Path launches several new features In November and December 2011, its users increased from 30,000 to over 300,000 in less than 1 month. As of February 2012, the company was widely criticized as it accesses and stores contacts in the user's mobile phone without the consent of the users themselves. In a blog uploaded by CEO Path himself, the company apologized and stated that Path has changed this practice. Path usage differs from other social networks where only approved users can access one's Path page. The privacy status of this app makes Path more exclusive than the various social networks available. The path can be used on any iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android version. This app is spread through the Apple Application Store and various other app sites.
In january 2014 Path gets funding from Bakrie Group. Recode.net through its exclusive report entitled "Bakrie Global Group's Path Closes $ 25 Million Funding", on Saturday (10/1) named Bakrie Group as one of investors in funding of Series C rounds of US $ 25 million or equivalent to Rp 304 billion which has been held by Path since last year. Not explained in detail how the value of investment disbursed Bakrie.
Bakrie is not the only investor participating in the funding of the final round. A number of old faces also come back. They are Greylock Partners, Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, Insight Venture Partners, Redpoint Venture Partners, and First Round Capital.

Dave Morin
Dave Morin is an American businessman, CEO and founder of Path social networking. former Executive of Facebook, he also created the Facebook Platform and Facebook Connect.
Morin is a member of the board of directors for the US Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), Eventbrite, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).
Morin began his career at Apple, Inc. in 2003 where he took a position in marketing. In 2006, Morin left Apple, Inc. and joined Facebook as Executive. Morin co creates a Facebook Platform, a software network that allows third-party developers to create apps within Facebook, and Facebook Connect, a technology for Facebook users to connect their profile data and authentication to external websites. In 2010, Morin left Facebook and subsequently established Path.
Shawn Fanning
Shawn Fanning (born November 22, 1980) is a computer programmerAmerica, Serial Entrepreneur, and Angel Investor. He's a Napster developer, one of the most popular peer-to-peer ("P2P") file sharing platforms, in 1998 with Sean Parker. The popularity of Napster was widespread and Fanning was the subject of conversation until he was on the cover of Time magazine.
Dustin Mierau
Dustin Mierau is co-founder and Chief Designer in Path, journals and social network for Android and iPhone. Before Path, he founded Macster, which eventually became Napster for Mac.
